I definitely prefer a more compact scope for a hunting rifle, and I prefer the functionality of the tactical scopes for a hunting scope.

I really like Nightforce..honestly they are the only scope company I have NEVER had an issue with.. they were always on the heavier side for a hunting scope..so on my mtn rifles have gone with other companies and lighter scopes..these are very close in weight..AND if like their predecessors, are as durable and accurate..
