Someone mentioned what happens if the shotgun and rifle barrel do not shoot to the same point of impact?

I was reading on another forum. A Valemt/Tikka owner mentioned sighting in for the shotgun. Then adjusting the rifle barrel to the same point of impact. Sounds tricky. But the shotgun spread needs to be less precise than the bullet point of impact. So as long as the bullet impact is in the middle of the shot spread at shotgun ranges and at the point at 100 metres, for me about three-quarters of an inch high, for a .222 or .223, then that works.
