I had my own old one in the NT last year. But Claydog loaned us his, and had downloaded a map to it. Huge difference for oountry one has never visited before, and where it is all flat. Creeks, rivers, billabongs, wetlands, but good to have an idea from the map an gps which one you are at.

Was the first time i used a gps properly. Have carried one before. A downloaded map makes a big difference.
