My father-in-law used to build wooden kayaks and that is what I use on a small shallow marsh.
It is 12 foot long, pointed on both ends and is low and wide. Very stable.
I paddle out to a patch of cattails and just slide into them a little bit. Instant blind.
It works well for me.
