As Tom said above, duck hunting in small boats in rough weather can be dangerous. As far as stealth goes, layout boats, similar to the outlawed sink boxes, have to be at the top of the pile. If you're hunting small, closed ponds I've seen these rigged with pulley systems, or you can pole out. The more common method relies on a tender boat to pull you out into open water. Again, there's not much freeboard and you've got to have a PFD and someone close by.
