Golf balls are designed to be "squashed" and are actually quite flexible - after all, older one's were just a whole load of rubber bands wrapped around in a ball (I had one explode on me once when we were doing what we shouldn't have been doing !!!).

I just read your post. I see you and I did similar things in our youth !!!
