I also use the Swarovski EL 10x42 and can't imagine going hunting without them. Apparently a new upgraded version (I believe with new glass, mirrors etc) will be available from January 2010 in the UK. They have been getting some good early reviews in terms of improved clarity (hard to believe!)

My other binoculars are Minolta 10x25 which have stood up well to years of use and neglect.

I have never had need to call on the warranty for either pair.
