I picked up a can of that stuff over 45 years ago for a black powder cartridge rifle I had.
Rifle is gone, powder still on the shelf.
One of the local suppliers was B. McDaniel & co., they were located in SE Michigan, now long gone.
As I recall I paid about $3 for one pound of powder and at that time that was a high price,
Dupont went for much less.
