Hello folks.
I had a customer cancel an order because he got laid off from his job.
So I have a 12 bore rifle coming up. I’ll build it and sell it and then refund this unfortunate man’s money to help him out with at least getting his investment back.
The gun has a tapered barrel with Forsyth rifling, one turn in 116” So it’s definitely a round-ball gun.
It has a Davis Bar lock which I have modified to work with the Rigby pistol grip style of stock. The stock is a very nice piece of Bastogne Walnut. When I have it finished It will have very nice checkering, and I will engrave the lock, tang and breach, trigger guard and the butt plate. The rifle will be rust blued.
So all I have done so far is to modify the lock and fit the drip-bar to the barrel, as well as fitting the hammer to the nipple. I also have the barrel inlet into the stock blank.
So if anyone wants a very nice hunting rifle in 12 bore, please contact me. At this point I can still make changes in the length of pull and the drop at comb, heal and toe as well as cast off and pitch.
I will be asking $3500 for it.
