That is light - and will boot, as you say.
Recoil is why I named my 14 bore "Bitch" in 1986 - and it's 9 1/2 pounds. I cannot imagine shooting a slug or round ball in a 5 1/2 pound gun. At least with smokless powder, the recoil will be less than the equvilent load in black.
