You are right Lancaster, that is a very impressive looking rifle! I really like the short barreled 8 Bores. This appears to be a brass case double rifle, however, why the 4" chamber in a 12 lb 12 oz double rifle. I had a Holland and Holland 8 Bore double rifle that weighed 16 1/2 pounds and had 3 3/4" chambers. It was a 12 dram rifle with rifling twist for a conical bullet. I would not want to shoot this rifle with 10 drams and a 1150 grain conical bullet! Compared to my current 8 Bore, with the same charge this light rifle would recoil 1 1/2 times my double rifle and the recoil velocity would go from 20 fps to 27 fps!OUCH!!!!!
