I think I see what you mean - tiny gap at the right front and rear edge of the Doll's Head?
Those muzzles really bother me. Chamfered with a dull, nicked tool. Too, there is lead missing form the joints at the muzzle. The front sight base does not appear to be original- at all.
Gorgeous looking rifle in the pictures, though.
