Good on ya, Bob. My eyeballs are still spinning. Lt. James Forsyth (1850's) worked with a double 8 prcussion rifle using explosive "shells" he called the bullets, for use on tiger and other animals in India. He designed a number of different moulds for these "Shells". His book included notes on their effect on tigers - all fatal. What was interesting, was the varying powder charges depending on the game hunted, so the bullet exploded at the correct time during penetration. |
