Then I would say the more pointy shape makes the bullet unstable - or not able to be stabilised.

Sometimes a short flatter meplat can make a bullet
easier to stabilize. Look at the old paradox bullets,
short stubby nose point on a long bullet
- even though it looked like a cotton reel !!!! LOL
