Re: Jeffery 8-Bore

Mehulkamdar, Griffin&Howe in NJ did the refinish, including recutting the checkering (it was squashed flat in places), removing numerous pits under the foreend, deoiling and refinishing the stock, and reblacking the barrels. Paul Chapman is their head gunsmith. This is the first gun they've worked on for me. For the amount and quality of work they did, their price was very reasonable, and turn around was five months, so no complaints there either. I'm amazed at the transformation in appearance and couldn't be happier!

I have managed to double it once about a year ago, and it was completely my fault. Fortunately I was using smokeless loads and roundballs, so while heavy it wasn't so bad that I lost my grip or dropped it. I didn't chrono any BP loads this weekend as planned, but will as soon as it warms up a bit.
