Had my son with me last season--had a male come to 25 ft--before we put the hammer down... agree--it is a ton of fun..My bowhunting buddy wants to try his bow this fall/winter---figured if he misses I will pack the 12 gauge--for the follow up...

We usually head out when it gets really cold out for a few days--10 below or more...they need to move for food and are more easily called in---however we have called them in during the middle of big game gun season---kind of wierd though as it seems some days we get one to come in about every 3 or 4th set..other days --nothing--guess that's why they call it "hunting"..
