Calling coyotes isn't easy. Especially if there are a lot of callers around. Trapping isn't simple either.

But to stalk one up, wow that is tough. I have done it a couple times over 40 years of hunting and know coyotes just don't let themselves get "snuck up on" Congrats.

Nakihunter, I think you had the wrong shooter for that doe. From the looks on their faces there were at least two other people who would have gladly done it.

My 30 something daughter went out with me when she was a teenager just to fill tags for the meat. She has no desire to hunt as an adult--You have to get dirty. But prominently displayed in her home is a set antlers from a forked horn Blacktail she killed down on the Sixes River where we lived--her first and only buck. That little set of antlers is better than any Boone and Crockett Trophy any day.

I don't know about you but some of my best memories of the kids growing up have to do with hunting.
