Well it's black and it's got a tail for sure, but I'm with Ann - looks like a whitetail rack to me.
: They do cross breed here in BC and Alberta - In BC, it's the rack that distenguishes proper naming, while in Albertl, it's the tail. To be a mule deer or sub species like Blacktail in Alta. it's got to have a black tip on the tail - here, that one ia a whitetail.
