I'd load premium 250s to 2700 fps., and I'd go with whichever one happens to shoot best in your rifle. I'd experiment with Nosler Partitions, Swift A-Frames, North Forks (240 gr.), Barnes Triple-Shocks, Woodleighs, and Speer Trophy-Bonded Bearclaws. Any of them would work for you extremely well, and you just can't make a mistake by trusting your very important hunt to any one of them. Any moose of brown bear, no matter how large, that takes one of those bullets in the right place won't be long for this world, pure and simple. The 338 Win. Mag. is one of my favorite all-around cartridges, and I've been shooting it for nearly 27 years. It's a superb killer............. AD |
