like so many places, the one gun theory just don't work well here either.....for pronghorns and smaller deer the 257 Roberts/6.5 X 55 style of cartridge is what works well but as we head out for the really big bears the 375 and 338 mags are what I want to carry.....that said however...If I was relegated to one rifle...yes that 100 year old 30-06 with the right hand loads will take care of business anytime!
