Re: Your Favorite North American Hunting Caliber

If I were forced down to one gun the choice wouldbe simple-a 300 mag in a bolt rifle. My particular favorite is a 300WSM Browning Stainless Stalker with a synthetic stock and a Ziess scope. It can be carried all day and do it all out to 400yds It weighs 7.25 pounds with scope and shoots great!!

In reality I grab the 300 WSM and roll or specifically select the 7mm08 for most of my deep woods whitetail, a 7mm Mag Sendero for beanfield shooting, a 338 for elk/moose, or a 416 Rem bolt for big bear .

A hunting fella just has to have options!!
