DD, Thanks again for tyhe information and the update. Earlier, I wrote: I always wanted to shunt bear with my 62 cal ML DR but don't think I can travel with percussion caps and black powder. Too bad. It would make a nice story, taking a bear withan 185 year old rifle." I checked with Sandy River Outfitters about caps and black powder and they said they would buy what was needed. I thought that was great info for anyone traveling into Canada who would like to shoot a traditional muzzleloader. I am glad to hear that Delta requires ammo to be separate from guns as I am flying to Bend, OR to hunt geese. I used to hunt geese in the Eaqstern Shore, MD and put boxes of steel BBB shell in my gun case. In 2020, I had also traveled to Alaska with my Glock 40 and a box of 220 gr HC ammo in a locked box. I guess TSA is tightening their regulations but don'tunderstand their logic. |
