I have used a P14 in .303 British for pig some years back. Running shots I'm not so used to but took a good boar with it, I didn't see a gum tree as I swung thru & fired. Strangely I hit him back a lot further than I aimed. The bullet blew thru 4" of tree before hitting him & still dropped him.
Nothing wrong with them at all! The last P14 was made 1917?, both of mine are Winchesters, so that makes them centenarians as well.
