In North America I've noticed temperatures down to about +5 F or so (-15 C) are actually pretty comfortable if no wind...the reason I mentioned the wind is that in a large chunk of North America (including portions of Idaho) otherwise comfortable temperatures can get very uncomfortable with high winds.

Also pardon the dumb question, but is a Zodiac that rubber boat that was seen in the Jaques Cousteau documentaries?
