I have not ordered a GT 25-- I have a Kimber in 10mm , 1911 style that has been to the gunsmiths for reworking a few items.. have not shot it much.. AND yes, agree with you, nothing much better than the feel of a 1911 style handgun, IMHO
Also have a GLock 20 SF- .. like it better than the standard frame model.. I still had some work done on the grip .. and added mmore stippling, Trijicon sights (https://www.trijicon.com/products/details/gl104y) , Wolf barrel https://www.lonewolfdist.com/CATEGORY/4/Barrels, and Apex trigger... that one shoots really really well..tight groups.
