I had this conversation last weekend with some hunters. Inside 400 yards, where still the bulk of shots are made, there is no real advantage to any of the new fad cartridges in my opinion..but, I like to experiment and try different things.. so??? I really like the 6.5 PRC.. light kicking round.. can call your shot on game..but really, it's still about 100 fps slower than the .264 Win Mag.. suppose to be a more "efficient" round..well, if it's so damn efficient why is it still slower than a cartridge designed over 50 years ago?? |
