Very nice!
Several years ago I was hunting elk up high on the mountain in late November. Lots of snow and was a dark cloudy day. I saw no fresh tracks and by late afternoon I was headed down the trail trying to get back to the truck before dark.
I saw a snowshoe rabbit coming my way up the trail. I stopped and he literally ran over my boots on his way by. I was wondering what would cause such unusual behavior when I spotted his pursuer. A Pine Martin was coming up the trail right in his tracks. If I hadn't scared him reaching for my camera he might have ran over my boots too. I always wondered how that Pine Martin could catch a rabbit but he obviously thought he could.

I am always amazed at the strength and power those cats have along with the size of game they can bring down..not that a pine martin is a cat, but ..
Have a good friend down by Yellowstone..lives along the park boundary..he as seen bobcats take down whitetail doe's..or how easily a mountain lion can take down an elk..incredibly efficient
