Art - back in Ontario when I grew up, most dairy farms were small and right around 70 to 100 acres. They'd milk up to 30 cows and maybe had a couple horses.
That was enough land for grain crops like corn, wheat or barely along with hay fields for the cattle's winter feed and pasture for summer feed.
