Argentina Adventure

Just got back from a trip to Argentina with a group of friends. All in all was an o.k. trip..got rained out the last portion. In fact we had to navigate around the flooded and washed out highways to get to the airport..our outfitter told us there was between 800 to 900mm of rain in the past 4 days, depending on the area. I personally have never seen it rain in that in my life..

We did some shooting of birds, fishing and hunting of other game later which did not work out much again because of the rain mostly..few other circumstances as well but that is another story..

Area we were hunting water buffalo in..

My buddy's water buffalo after spotted and a 3 1/2 hour cat and mouse game.

What some of the trails were looking like after the 2nd day of rain..it rained for 3 more days after this was taken...
After day 3 of rain

capybara

Took this large male right at dark sitting on shore...weird little animals..walk like a bear when they are on land...

Some bird hunting--this was 2 hours of shooting wood pigeons...one morning shooting doves I went through 14 boxes of 12 gauge 71/2 shot in about 4 hours of shooting..the birds were thick..

Other morning shooting sessions..

We got in about 2 1/2 hours fishing before wind/rain hit..headed into shore..was a great day of fishing..

I caught several piranha..guide dropped this one accidently while taking out the hook..while trying to get it back out of the boat it took a nip out of his finger..down to the bone..nasty little buggers..

Another friendly looking little guy..

More pics to come--have to gather them up from my friends ..
