There are some large ones in the Northern States, that's for sure. Rivaling the best from the Queen Charlotte Islands of B.C. The best I have heard of there, was weighed (dead of course) on a beam scale in a logging camp at Jescatla logging camp at 875lbs. All they eat there is salmon and deer. In the Animal world, they are the ace predator - no other predators on the island, besides humans. |
