Disgusting, and I would hope, unusual. A great many of the guiding outfits in BC are German or Austrian owned and I suspect a much higher degree of professionalism than what you describe would be in evidence in most of those outfits, sad to say.

There is a provincial Guide Outfitters Association in BC. They've been in the news a lot lately because many BC hunters are upset that the Guide Outfitters Association is lobbying the provincial government to give them a much larger share of the total licenses for certain large game in BC. Quite a lot of money has been donated to members of the Legislature by members of that Association.
