Re: How Ballistics is affected out West.. article

We always had our hunters re-zero their rifles before the hunt starts.

Most times they needed re-sighting - whether knocked off by the trip -ie: baggage handlers or merely due to improper sighting in the first place - thus re-sighting or checking the sights was ALWAYS a good idea.

Interesting how many hunters did not know how to adjust the sights - seems they had some money, bought a rifle - go'in huntin' - AND "THEY sighted it in at the store when they mounted the scope".

How many have heard that one?

My last hunt in Zim my PH told me of a client he had from Spain who showed up in camp with more than one female accomplice.. had a cape buffalo standing broadside at 60 meters..resting over the hood of the Toyota..clean miss...WTH?? Guess the client said he had it sighted in at the store...amazing..

Hopefully he was more successful in his other "shoosting"..
