Mule deer bucks will hang together in the summer --however as fall approaches and the rut enters..the testosterone increases..and they become MUCH less tolerant of one another.. In todays world..it would be very uncommon to see that quality of bucks together..I am guessing they just put together a group of really large bucks from the past and put them together in a photo...again, just guessing...
