I would try my 338 Winchester Magnum and my 375 H & H Magnum with this type bears to see if your bullets are effective. In the 338 used a 250 grain bullet and I think in 375 H & H a weight of 300 grains. In Spain, the bears are in serious danger of extinction and are highly protected animals by law, but we are relatively close to Romania to hunt bears and wolves, however minimal budgets under the alarming crisis in Spain. But dreaming is free hehe.
