I don't fault the kid IF he hasn't or hadn't been told what to do in this situation. It's a bit like sorting out with a PH who does what when and how.
I've read a number of things re PH's being shot and others where the tracker has walked up to the ie Lion and put the muzzle next to it before pulling the trigger.
It's a hard one.
