The Alaska herds are wild. Permits for the ones near the road system are hard to get with the drawing. But there are a couple herds off the road system that will be ALOT harder to get to that are still open to hunt w/o permits IIRC.

There's a herd up in the Fairwell burn area and another in the Copper River basin as well as the Delta herd.
