I was applying for all the hunts that I could in Florida and found out that there is a healthy population of sambar on St. Vincents Island. The hunt is by lottery and of course it was a no go for me this year. Maybe next year! The island is accessible by boat only (no bridges) and hunting is by bow or muzzleloader only. Hogs are allowed also. Primitive camping is allowed for the three day hunt.
