At the moment, I just can't wait until my rifles and guns arrive!!!! We are looking forward to the hunts. We have been taking a few hikes and last weekend ended up driving over hatcher pass where I lived 35 years ago. I was in as much awe today as then. My kids and wife couldn't believe how beautiful and majestic. We found a new set of beaver ponds and climbed down to see if we could spot a beaver. There were Hi-bush cranberries everywhere, and then, also some bear sign. We made a careful but rapid retreat as it was getting toward dusk at 8:00 pm and the alders and underbrush was thick. AND, I was very unarmed. Best to play it safe.
