This was the fastest race I've ever been on. Dogs had the big fat sow treed in 20 minutes, but it took us a long time to get there. I'm glad I shot her, or she'd have suffered a heart attack for sure!!

Dogs run fast going downhill!!!!!

Got to the tree, tied the dogs back, took care of business and then the houndsmen left. We got all cleaned up at the bottom of the canyon, and then commenced the haul up.

Glad I had my son with me.

He "drew" first dibs in the spring, and hunted hard with a few hard long races, but no bear. Now I got the go-round.

But he still has an "invite", so maybe there's a bruin for Sonny this fall after all!!
