I had to photoshop that pic three times to lighten it enough to see the thing.

Here's the hole. Naturally, it treed down at the bottom, out a ways and down to the right out of the picture. You can see my pickup on the road left and up.

Here it is trussed up, meat inside skin, ready for the pack up and out. A groinbuster. Glad I had Sonny.

My rifle next to a new Marlin owned by one of the guys. Mine has a 19-inch barrel, his .444 {the "standard issue" bear gun around here} with 22-inch bbl, but both are about the same total length.
