I agree dogs should be allowed to retrieve game. I live & hunt in Idaho, I've talked with several Fish& Game officers about using my bird dog to trail wounded big game. They have no problem with it, they know my dogs hunt close and don't run off. It worked well on a bear& deer, two different dogs.
The law change would be good, all dos aren't trained to stay within 200 yds.
