It's a shame you have to go to the Fish and Game Department for a change in the regulations to clarify what appears to be an already legal practice. As you well know, your current regulations say:

"It is unlawful to hunt big game with dogs except for black bear and mountain lion."

As your proposal is to allow recovery and not hunting of big game, it should be unnecessary. I wish you well, and hope you are able to make them understand the difference between hunting with hounds and recovery of wounded game.
