Yes, I was a field editor for that magazine for almost 20 years and it (Black Powder Hunting)ceased publication last year. She told me that companies (especially large sponsors) wanted to put their funds into television programming... but frankly the magazine had become stale... with no change in format, uneven publication quality, poor editing, etc. Too bad because it was about the only source of its kind, but I had quit reading it. Very tired stuff mostly written by "bought and paid for" hacks.
