I want to thank all you men that have sacrificed to send me money for my medical bills.
I cannot express the depth of my gratitude.

However, I went to the business office of Dr. Lewis today. I was informed that the procedure (which I was quoted a few weeks back) was only a small part of the expenses that I would incur in the near future.
In addition to the $1,200 -$2000 for the Doctor, there is to be many hundreds and perhaps thousands of dollars for the nurses, and the same for the anesthesiologist. Plus at least $2300 for the room. In addition to all that, any surgery that the doctor deemed necessary or even advisable would be done at that time, and it can run several thousands and up to $25,000.

In other words, the cost is beyond any possibility of me ever paying it. At the very least, it will be about 4 times what they told me 2 weeks ago, and it’s possible for it to be 40-50 times as much.

So, I want to ask another favor of you all. (even though you have done so much already)
I want to have the business office contact you all, and if you would not mind, I would like to divert the monies that you have sent in to Dr. Lewis’s office over to the Emergency Room. They are billing me now for the visit it had with them. I was in there for 4 hours and they want $2,400 for that visit, even though they did very little for me. I was billed that $2400 and found several thing itemized on the bill that were wrong. They are trying to bill me for several things that they never did, and several things and drugs that they never gave to me.
but, with that said, I have demanded an accurate bill, and when they give it to me, I would like to use the monies that you men sent to Dr. Lewis diverted over to the Emergency Room to help me with that bill instead of the bill for Dr. Lewis.

Would that be ok?

I will have Erica at the business office contact each of you, and see if it’s ok with you to have the monies sent to the Riverton Hospital Emergence Room instead of Dr. Lewis. Instead of paying for tests and surgery that I now know I can not finish paying for, I am asking to help me pay a bill that already exists, and take some of the pressure off me that way.

i will then just try to watch what I eat and see if I remain in good condition, or if i get worse.

This is awkward, but I am not fearful of death. I would have preferred to go some way that was not unpleasant, but that’s the way all men are, and no one really gets that choice.

Anyway, it’s been made VERY CLEAR to me as of this morning that they are going to send me home to live or die without their help, because there is not enough money to pay them, and because there is no insurance company that they can bill.

I will have to pay some on the ER bill, but $1,100 will sure help.
I will not go back to them again.
I must go through this without any medical help beyond this point. I really don’t mind all that much. God has always taken very good care of me, and in life or death, I am sure He will not leave me.

If you men would not mind, I would like to ask you to allow the business office to cash the checks and money orders, put them on my account, and then draw it all out and send a check in my name to the ER so I can have that pressure off me at least.

Please let me know if that’s ok with you. If it’s not, will have Erica return the moneys to you, and I thank you VERY VERY VERY much in either event.
