If any of you guys are considering having a fine muzzel loader built, you should really contact Steve. I acquired that 8 bore pictured from him and the pictures dont do it justice. Steve does fantastic work!!! That 8 balances like a fine bird gun. It feels much lighter than it is. And if any of you were considering an 8 bore, but were apprehensive about recoil......dont be....it's not bad at all. Kinda like a 458, but not sharp and harsh. I always have a pretty good bruise and soreness after I shoot my 458 with it's recoil pad.......not so with the 8 and it's steel butt plate. Super nice rifle!!!
