Which 577/500 ? as there were a few.
It is not a very popular round in either Single or Double Rifles
- brass is scarcer as well.
I would try for a straight walled 450 or 500 BPE or
of course one of the 45-xxx or 50-xxx.
Can't comment on the ballistic side of things.
