It's quite a imposition to use a flintlock BP muzzleloader on woodcock flying lightning. Making it more difficult. And sporting. Wonderful.

One of our gentleman shooters at a clay target shoot,field clays, used a BP shotshell shotgun. It was noticeable how much slower his ignition was, needing to kead the clays more. But we also worked out his BPNshotshelkscwere much under loaded with the BOM charge,

A flintlock ML BP shotgun must be quite slow igniting.

My oldest family gun is smaller bore percussion hammer ML shotgun. My Great-Grand pas, or even Great-Great.
