Argh! Not sure what I was thinking, I knew we were talking about an 8 bore. The idea of a conical to reduce projectile weight is interesting. I've thought about a conical for my 11 bore, but it is a smoothbore and I'm too lazy--it will already shoot through anything I'm likely to hunt with it.
