In my experience the later C&H black powder tins were opaque plastic with a fairly wide black lid. I too despair that no-one seems to be able to make a non-hygroscopic "smokeless" bulk equivalent to black powder. Pyrodex is as "corrosive" as black, and all the BlackMax, 777, BlackMagic etc etc ad infinitum that have followed are no better. I wish I could stumble on a hidden cache of C&H No.6 coz I'd have a permanent silly grin on my face! ...and tell no bastard! But your score is nearly as good, Casper! |
