Re: Jaeger done

Steve that is a lovely piece, love the double tapered barrel and the way the ramrod curves. I have an original jaeger, percussion conversion in 54 that I am working up and a late mates jaeger that he made for his wife in .45 with a small silver lock and a lot of heavy wire inlay. I may rework the rifle one day and instal a jaeger style lock with the curved plate, it is not large enough for a round faced lock. They are fun to shoot and it is interesting to see the lineage that the American long rifle came from.

Cheers

Gordon
